Elbow Cay

Elbow Cay is an eight-mile-long cay in the Abaco Islands located about 4 miles east of Marsh Harbour on Great Abaco Island. Originally populated by British loyalists fleeing the newly independent United States of America in 1785, it has survived on fishing, boat building, and salvage. The main settlement of Hope Town surrounds a protected harbor with a noted red-and-white-striped lighthouse and is one of the only car-free zones in the entire Bahamas. Green Turtle Cay

Green Turtle Cay is the northern most populayted cay in the Abacos. Green turtle Cay is one of Abaco's two popular wedding destinations along with Elbow Cay. The settlement of New Plymouth was originally settled by the loyalists in the 1770's. Today the family names of those original settlers still predominate the Abacos. Guana Cay

Guana Cay is the largest of the Abaco cays, extending seven miles from end to end, resting between Green Turtle Cay and Man-O-War Cay. Little Harbour

Man-O-War Cay

Man-O-War Cay is a small island in the Abaco region nestled just off of the capital Marsh Harbour, located between Elbow Cay and Scotland Cay/Guana Cay. It has a population of about 300 Bahamians and about 135 foreign resident second-home families. Vacation Rentals, boat rentals and golf carts are very popular throughout the year. Man-O-War is a quiet island but still an island not to be missed if staying at one of the neighboring cays. Marsh Harbour

Marsh Harbour is the commercial center of The Abacos with an international airport and an FBO for private aircraft. Marsh Harbour is the gateway to all the neighbouring cays which are very popular. It has a growing number of shops, cafés, a selection of hotels and resorts, restaurants and marinas. The lively downtown area offers all city amenities, yet it maintains a small-town feel.
